Clients

Children & Adolescents

Motions Counseling works with children, adolescents, and teenagers struggling with stress and anxiety, low self-esteem, social difficulties, perfectionism, and grief.

I may be a good fit for children and teens who:

  • often feel as if they “can’t get anything right” or “aren’t good enough,

  • struggle to make or keep friends,

  • miss out on life experiences because of anxiety, stress, or fear,

  • have experienced something scary or traumatic,

  • appear overly reliant on their phone, social media, or other technology,

  • are navigating changes at home, such as divorce, blending families, or loss,

  • don’t feel like they “fit in, or

  • are “big feelers” with emotions that are hard to manage.

Adults

Motions Counseling works with young adults (20s-30s) seeking support through life transitions, navigating achievement culture, or feeling disconnected from themselves, their purpose, or others.

I may be a good fit for young adults who:

  • are experiencing a big life event, such as a job change or breakup,

  • feel “behind” or as if they “can’t keep up” with their peers,

  • need communication and boundary-setting skills,

  • want to explore their family of origin and family relationships,

  • have experienced something traumatic,

  • need encouragement and motivation through feeling “stuck, or

  • are curious about exploring their values, purpose, and goals in life.
